BIO

Tom Foley is an award-winning American Filmmaker.  A longtime Commercial Director and member of the DGA, Tom has helmed National TV spots for iconic brands like Nike, Harley Davidson, Lowe’s, Walgreens, Timberland, Hyundai and Burger King.

In 2020, Tom created and directed Branded Content films for Tito’s Vodka and the Alzheimer’s Association. In 2021, Tom won three Hatch Awards for his work for Liberty Mutual, Citizens Bank & Alzheimer’s.

Tom’s film for Tito’s — which chronicled the successful rescue of over 150 dogs in Louisiana following Hurricane Barry — won the prestigious Shorty Audience Award. At the Hatch Awards in 2023, Tom won again for his film for UMASS telling the story of renowned Set Designer and alumnus David Korins.

 

Tom’s storytelling keys on human emotion — from narrative comedy to heartfelt realism.  Always with a strong visual point of view, Tom emphasizes the unique humanity of his subjects.

 

A graduate of Northwestern University, Tom studied film and writing and then worked in advertising in his 20’s in San Francisco and Boston, before successfully transitioning to directing. Tom lives with his wife, their two boys and two cats in Marblehead, MA.

 

After over two decades of being represented by national production companies in LA and Boston, in 2026 Tom founded his own production company, Super Beef.  The goal is to bring high-end storytelling and production at more affordable budget levels, with an emphasis on working directly with clients to thoughtfully and efficiently address their needs.
